Share

After completing an extensive $7-million expansion, the Gold Coast Recycling and Transfer Station in Ventura will be offering a host of new services along with longer hours for Ventura County residents and businesses.

Beginning Monday, Gold Coast Recycling, 5275 Colt St., will extend operating hours from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.

Residents and business owners will also be able to drop off any recyclable materials, including hazardous waste such as car batteries, motor oil, household emollients and paint.

The recycler will also continue its buy-back program, paying users for materials like aluminum cans and bottles.

This summer’s expansion more than doubled the size of the 8-year-old facility with the addition of a 44,000-square-foot building. The extra area will also allow Gold Coast to expand its processing capabilities to handle more than three times the amount of trash than it did previously.
