What’s billed as the largest exhibition ever on writer Edgar Allan Poe, called “Quoth the Raven,” opens Tuesday through Jan. 31 at his namesake museum in Richmond, Va. It includes original manuscripts (including the rare “Tamerlane and Other Poems”), letters and personal effects. Information: (804) 648-5523. . . . Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C., becomes a giant street festival on Columbus Day weekend. The Seventh Annual Taste of D.C., with food booths, music and crafts, runs 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 11 to 13, between 14th Street and 9th Street N.W. Admission is free.
