Sen. Strom Thurmond was released from Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., after suffering minor dehydration, his spokesman said in Columbia. The 94-year-old Republican was hospitalized after getting dizzy Saturday at the Promise Keepers religious rally. Thurmond was told to drink plenty of water, spokesman John DeCrosta said. “The decision for me to stay overnight at Walter Reed was a precautionary measure,” Thurmond said.
