Fire Scorches 15 Acres; Apartments Evacuated
A fast-moving brush fire blackened about 15 acres in Woodland Hills and prompted the precautionary evacuation of an apartment complex Thursday night before Los Angeles firefighters extinguished the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
The fire started near De La Guerra Street and Calvin Avenue about 8:15 p.m. and burned for nearly an hour. More than 50 firefighters battled the blaze.
