Religious Art the Focus of Interfaith Show

The work of Conejo Valley artists will be featured in the seventh annual Interfaith Art Show at St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church in Thousand Oaks on Oct. 18 and 19.

Open to the public, the religiously themed art will be a mixed-media show of oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, calligraphy, drawings and sculpture. The work will be for sale. The artists will be at a reception at noon Oct. 19.

"A children's sacred-art show has been added this year for children to express their own religious feelings," said Carmela Elsley at St. Pascal Baylon. "We're asking all local churches and synagogues to help their religious-school students select and enter their artwork."

Art show hours will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 18 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 19. St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church is at 155 E. Janss Road in Thousand Oaks. Call 492-5412 for more information.
