Design House ’97 Is Now Open in Encino

A seven-bedroom house built 30 years ago on two acres of the original Al Jolson estate in Encino is open now through Nov. 2 as Design House ’97 for the Assistance League of Southern California.
The house was owned at one time by singer Aretha Franklin. Tickets are $17. For more details, call (213) 993-1019 or (818) 379-2345.
