Courses Offered in First Aid, Safety
The American Red Cross is offering two first aid and safety courses in eastern Ventura County, beginning this weekend.
Participants will learn to recognize and care for people with breathing and cardiac trauma and heart disease, as well as how to prevent injuries.
Also, the courses will cover caring for life-threatening bleeding and other injuries, and sudden illness.
Upon completion of the nine-hour courses, students will receive Rad Cross certificates in CPR and community first aid and safety.
Both courses are offered at the American Red Cross East Valley District Office, 1919 Williams St., Suite 200, Simi Valley.
The first class will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and the second from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Oct. 23 and 30.
The registration fee is $48.
