1st Holiday Regatta Slated for Sunday
It’s beginning to look a lot like the holidays, especially in Westlake Village where the Westlake Yacht Club is preparing to launch its second annual holiday series of regattas.
The races will begin Sunday with the Trick or Treat Regatta, continue in November with the Turkey Day Regatta and end in December with the Kris Kringle Regatta.
Registration for the Trick or Treat Regatta, weather and wind permitting, will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Westlake Lake, 32123 W. Lindero Canyon Road.
Boats that are eligible to be entered are the Sabot, C-13, Laser and C-14.
After a noon skippers’ meeting, the white flag will be hoisted about 12:30 p.m., officials said.
The regattas, sponsored by the Young Realtors of Westlake Village, are open to affiliated members of the Southern California Yachting Assn.
