Two robbers who held up a man in a Lynwood liquor store parking lot barricaded themselves in a nearby house before surrendering to sheriff’s deputies.
Two men, one with a handgun in his waistband, robbed a man at 10 a.m. Monday and ran to a nearby home. The victim flagged down a passing patrol car and deputies surrounded the house in the 2500 block of East 111th Street in the Willowbrook area, said Deputy Bob Killeen of the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau.
A Special Weapons and Tactics Team was called when the suspects refused to leave the house but they surrendered before sharpshooters arrived, Killeen said.
The suspects, identified as Van Guest, 18, and Eddie Edwards, 20, were booked for robbery, Killeen said.
