Council to Consider City Manager Candidates

Share

The Bellflower City Council will meet behind closed doors tonight to consider applicants seeking the city administrator’s job.

Linda Lowry, the former city administrator, resigned in June after serving since 1993. The new administrator will supervise a staff of 60 full-time employees and manage a budget of $28.8 million in the city of 65,000.

Major issues facing the city include a utility users’ tax approved by voters in March to support law enforcement and redevelopment. Bellflower also is seeking a city attorney.
