Pre-Columbian Music to Be Made at Museum

Xochimoki will be at the Children’s Museum at La Habra today to demonstrate the music of the Mayas, Aztecs and other Native American cultures.

Wearing colorful indigenous costumes, musicians Jim Berenholtz and Mazatl Galindo, who make up Xochimoki, will perform on such pre-Columbian instruments as deer antlers.

The museum is at 301 S. Euclid St. Admission is $4 per person and includes Xochimoki’s performance in conjunction with the exhibit on display, “The Music Studio.”
