I would like to point out something to T.J. Simers: Why in the world would Lawrence Phillips grant you an interview when all you do is write negative comments about him?

The Times’ sportswriters are simply becoming more pathetic with every wasted article spent whining and complaining about athletes who refuse to discuss their troubles off the field, in print.

The Times spent 40 inches of column space to publicly ridicule a man who didn’t want to be interviewed or written about.
