Splash update--Three of the Splash’s remaining six games are against teams with winning records--two are against division-rival Sacramento--and four games are at home. In its earlier meeting, a 6-4 loss, the Splash surrendered six consecutive goals after Terry Rowe gave the Splash a lead; Rowe has played only one game since, missing seven games because of a knee injury. Bernie Lilavois (30 goals, 14 assists) has scored a point in 21 games he has played. Player/coach Dale Ervine, with two assists, reached the 700-point milestone in Friday’s 6-5 overtime loss to Portland.

La Raza update--Monterrey holds an 8-4 series advantage over the Splash and has won the season series each of the last two seasons. La Raza scored a 6-4 victory at Monterrey Tech Arena in their only other meeting this season. La Raza is the two-time defending CISL champion and leads the Eastern Division with the league’s second-best record. Goalkeeper Raul Salas is giving up 5.86 goals per game, but is second in the league in victories. The offense is led by defender Genoni Martinez (21 goals, 21 assists) and midfielder Marco Coria (23 goals, 18 assists). La Raza has won three in a row.
