vs.
MARLINS’ KEVIN BROWN
(12-8, 2.74 ERA)
Dodger Stadium, 7 p.m.
Radio--KABC (790), KWKW (1330).
* Update--The Dodgers stumbled home from Texas having lost three in a row while the Florida Marlins soared into Dodger Stadium on the strength of a six-game winning streak. Moreover, the Dodgers had lost six of seven to the Marlins this season and were five games behind Florida in the race for the National League wild-card spot, should that become the Dodgers’ only option for postseason play. But the Dodgers have turned all that around with three consecutive victories, giving them a chance for a sweep tonight that would leave them a game back in the wild-card race. Nomo is 0-3 against the Marlins this season with a 7.36 earned-run average. In his career, he is 2-5 with a 3.97 ERA. The Dodgers need a crowd of 43,129 tonight to reach the three-million mark for the second consecutive season.
