2 Spanish Classes Focus on Workplace
Two Spanish language courses designed for the workplace will be offered at Cal State Northridge’s Ventura campus this fall.
“Spanish for Teachers” will be offered on four consecutive Saturdays beginning Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to noon and “Medical Spanish for the Workplace” will be offered the same days from 1 to 4 p.m.
The “Spanish for Teachers” course will emphasize the vocabulary needed to communicate with students and their parents.
“Medical Spanish for the Workplace” is intended to help medical professionals communicate clearly with their patients and caregivers.
“Especially in the state of California, [Spanish] is almost a prerequisite for many occupations,” said Maria Tauber, CSUN spokeswoman. “For the field of education, it’s imperative.”
Enrollment for each course costs $80.
