Earthquakes, tornadoes, floods and other phenomena will be the topic of an exhibit titled “Forces of Nature,” opening Sept. 22 at the Children’s Museum at La Habra.
The hands-on exhibit will examine the causes of severe acts of nature and the ways people can protect themselves. Activities will include experiencing the turbulence of a wind tunnel, stepping into an “earthquake room” and donning gear to fight a simulated forest fire.
The exhibit will continue through Jan. 25. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. The cost is $4 except for children younger than 2, who are admitted free. The museum is at 301 S. Euclid St.
