Story of Gold Rush to Be Presented

Ventura writer-storyteller Jim Woodward will tell the story of the Great California Gold Rush during two presentations at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library on Saturday(.
Woodward’s hourlong readings, designed for those age 7 and older, will begin at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
The library’s “Rawhide” celebration day will also include a petting zoo, two country bands, pony rides, horse-drawn wagon rides and face painting.
“There’s something for everyone to do,” said Kathy Varty, library spokeswoman.
The events are free. Admission to the library is $4 for adults and free for youths under 16.
