Bar Assn. Will Honor 2 Ex-West Court Judges
Two former judges at Municipal Court in Westminster, Cory Cramin and Joy Markman, will be honored next month by the West Orange County Bar Assn.
Cramin and Markman will both receive the Patrick McCray Award at an event held in their honor Oct. 24. The award, named after a former West Court judge, is given to those jurists who embody the values promoted by McCray while he presided over the West Court.
Keith Ross, a member of the West Orange County Bar Assn. board, described McCray as a firm judge who promoted the highest standards of professionalism but also worked to create a congenial atmosphere in the courthouse.
Cramin and Markman, after five and two years respectively in West Court, were recently appointed as judges in Orange County Superior Court.
“I think the fact that two judges were picked from West Court says something about the quality of the judges we have here,” Ross said.
