Speakers and cabinetry are in tune at Innovative Audio, where the latest technology is housed in Old World style. Six cabinet styles (from $1,400 to $2,400 each) are available, with several finishes and European hardware to give each solid wood piece some individuality.

The Traditions collection includes Alexander, an early American look in maple; Humphrey, an English style in cherry; and the classic French La Chapelle in mahogany. Custom finishes include marble, granite and burl tops.

A la Mode

When it comes to haute couture, Los Angeles interior designer Sally Sirkin Lewis has always been on the cutting edge.

Her textiles and furnishings for J. Robert Scott are tailor-made, just like a designer ball gown. In fact, some floor-length gowns she designed a few months ago were the inspiration for her recent Renaissance collection of 300 fabrics and trimmings.

The Renaissance collection, along with Lewis’ works for the past 25 years, will be on display, starting Monday at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles.

“Sally Sirkin Lewis: 25 Years of Design” will feature a 1,000-square-foot dream bedroom and sitting room designed by Lewis and a photo gallery documenting the highlights of her career.

Lewis, recipient of the 1996 Divine Design Interior Design award and inducted into Interior Design’s Hall of Fame in 1989, is the first interior designer to be honored by the Fashion Institute, which also has a campus in Orange County.

The retrospective is free to the public and will continue through Dec. 12.

Luxe Linens

Laura Ashley has introduced accessories and four bed linen designs to JCPenney stores.

The ensembles--from $45 to $300 for linens and comforters--are Charlotte, a sunny floral design combined with sapphire stripes; Ashbourne, which has soft jade leaves and ferns framed by a dark rose border; Quartet, splashed with rose and sapphire flowers juxtaposed with a blue and white check; and Cottage Rose, a vintage look in rose and sage.

The accessories--from $20 to $90--include such items as pillows, picture frames, storage boxes and shower curtains to complement the bedding collections.
