The second album from the quartet fronted by ex-Psychedelic Furs singer Richard Butler is an angst-riddled tangle of perfectly fine, often soaring, guitar rock. Except for the glamorous, depraved “Little Fist,” however, Butler’s impressionistic lyrics seem vague at best, making the highlights “Long Long Time” and “Friends” feel like meaningless, lightweight meringue. In the end, “Trysome Eatone” ends up leaving practically no impression at all.
