Library Friends Plan Book Sale Saturday

Friends of the Costa Mesa Libraries plan a used-book sale Saturday to support children’s reading activities and to raise funds for materials.

Selections for children and texts in foreign languages are among the offerings. Sale prices are $1 for hardcovers and 50 cents for paperbacks.

Sales benefit programs at the downtown and Mesa Verde branches of the county library system.

The 9 a.m.-to-3 p.m. sale will be at the Costa Mesa Downtown Library, 1855 Park Ave.
