Church Starts Community Seminar Series
Dr. Warren Peters, director of health promotion and education at the Loma Linda University schools of medicine and public health, will discuss the effects of genetics, lifestyle and the workings of the body on overall health from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Oct. 4 at the Thousand Oaks Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Peters’ talk will launch the church’s free community seminar series, which will focus on the importance of physical health on overall well-being.
Programs led by health professionals from Loma Linda University, Columbia Los Robles Hospital-Medical Center and the Weimar Institute Wellness Center will continue Oct. 25, Nov. 15 and Dec. 13.
