Public’s Help Asked in Solving Slaying
Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the killer of a male transient found shot to death in a Pacoima park Monday morning.
Los Angeles Police Det. Frank Bishop said investigators arrived at Gonzales Park in the 10900 block of Herrick Avenue about 6:30 a.m. after a park worker found the body.
Bishop said police had few clues on why the man, a black male transient known to frequent the park, was shot. No one at the park saw anyone suspicious before the body was discovered, police said.
“‘There were reports of gunshots being fired earlier in the evening,” Bishop said, “but we don’t know if it’s related to the [death].”
Anyone with information should call the Foothill station at (818) 834-3115.
