ISLAMIC PRAYERS: The Islamic Center of Northridge will sponsor community prayers beginning Eid al-Adha, the Muslim holiday during the annual hajj, or pilgrimage season to Mecca in Saudi Arabia, at 7 and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Granada Hills Mosque, 11439 Encino Ave., and the original mosque at 8424 Tampa Ave., Northridge. NEWS ANCHOR TO SPEAK: Emmy Award-winning ABC news anchor Laura Diaz will speak at the Entertainment Fellowship dinner at 6:30 p.m. April 15 at CBS Studio Center, 4024 Radford Ave., Studio City. Diaz, also a co-host of Vista L.A., will discuss her career, including her coverage of the L.A. riots. Tickets to the dinner, available by mail only, must be postmarked by Thursday.
