In Orange League softball:

Valencia 4, Savanna 0--Erica Harding hit a grand slam in the first and freshman Michelle Whiteman pitched a one-hitter, striking out nine and walking two, for Valencia (10-10, 2-0).

In Century League boys’ swimming:

Villa Park 130, Orange 40--Freshman Charlie Fisher was a double winner and was the leadoff swimmer in two of three winning relays for Villa Park.

Fisher won the 200 freestyle (1 minute 51.88 seconds) and 100 butterfly (58.69). Sophomore Chris Koontz also was a double winner for the Spartans, with victories in the 50 (23.25) and 500 freestyles (5:22.34).

In the Freeway League:

Troy 114, Fullerton 56--T.C. McClusky won the 200 individual medley in 2:24.19 for Troy (6-2, 2-1). McClusky also won the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.97.

Brandon Secrest won the 500 freestyle (5:25.99) and 200 freestyle (1:58.19) for Troy.

In Century League girls’ swimming:

Villa Park 112, Orange 56--Sophomore Kristen Conklin won the 200 individual medley (2:22.59) and the 100 butterfly (1:02.86) and was on two winning relays for Villa Park. Senior Alyson Edoff won the 100 (55.85) and 200 (1:58.97) freestyles and was the leadoff swimmer in Orange’s winning 200 medley relay (2:02.12).

In Orange League boys’ tennis:

Brea Olinda 14, Magnolia 7--Du Eum won in singles, 6-4, then teamed with Eugene Ro for a 6-3, 6-1 victory in doubles for Brea Olinda (4-7, 2-0).

In Empire League boys’ volleyball:

Kennedy 3, Cypress 1--Scott Forbes had 17 kills and Rupesh Bhakta had 15 kills for Kennedy, which won, 15-4, 9-15, 15-11, 15-7. The Fighting Irish are 7-4, 3-4.

Marko Cavka had 13 kills for Cypress (2-5 in league).

Loara 3, Western 1--Mike Eshelman had 18 kills in the 15-8, 9-15, 15-7, 15-11 victory for Loara (6-5, 4-3).
