ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

Varco International Inc.: The Orange-based maker of drilling equipment for the oil-and-gas industry posted first-quarter net income of $15 million, or 23 cents a share, more than double the $7.4 million, or 11 cents a share, earned in last year’s first quarter. Revenue rose to $150.2 million for the first three months from $101.1 million.
