Teen in Murder Case Hangs Self
A teenager awaiting trial in a Maryland murder case that has international implications because a co-defendant is fighting extradition from Israel was found dead in his jail cell. Aaron Needle, 18, was alone in a cell at the Rockville jail when guards found him hanging from a bedsheet he had fashioned into a noose, said Montgomery County Corrections Director Devon Brown. Also charged in the dismemberment and burning of Alfred Tello Jr. is Samuel Sheinbein, 17, who fled to Israel shortly after the killing and is fighting extradition. Needle pleaded not guilty last week. His lawyer, Michael Statham, asked for a psychiatric review of his client for a possible insanity plea.
