Amplicon Inc.: The Santa Ana high-tech leasing company reported that third-quarter net income rose 14% to $4.8 million, or 39 cents a share, from $4.2 million, or 34 cents a share, for the comparable period a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 grew 7% to $81.8 million from $76.7 million. Net income for the nine-month period rose 23% to a record $13.8 million, or $1.12 a share, from $11.2 million, or 93 cents a share, for the like three quarters of the prior fiscal year. Revenue was up 12% to $244.1 million from $217.6 million.
