Boy Found in Pool Still in Critical Condition
A 12-year-old boy remained in critical condition Sunday after nearly drowning in his family’s backyard pool.
The boy was transferred to Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center in Tarzana on Saturday evening, said hospital spokesperson Patty Starkey.
He was initially treated at Granada Hills Community Hospital, where he was taken by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The boy was found fully clothed about 3 p.m. Saturday in a half-filled pool in the 11800 block of Thunderbird Avenue. He was submerged for at least 10 minutes, fire officials said.
The name of the victim was not released.
