3 Men Sought in Kidnapping of Waitress
Sheriff’s deputies were searching for three men who kidnapped a cocktail waitress early Wednesday and barricaded themselves in a house with the woman before fleeing, authorities said.
Law enforcement officials received a 911 call at 2:30 a.m. from a woman who hung up, Deputy Cruz Solis said.
Authorities tracked the call to a home in the 13900 block of Facade Avenue.
Deputies surrounded the house. One deputy was able to break a window to get the woman out, Solis said.
A SWAT team arrived and tried to contact the kidnappers but were unsuccessful, deputies said.
At 8:10 a.m., the SWAT team set off a flash-bang grenade and entered the house, finding that the men had fled, Solis said.
Investigators said they found a large quantity of marijuana and automatic firearms inside the house.
The waitress, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital where she was treated for abrasions and bruises, officials said.
