Pretenders fans can stop all their sobbing. Chrissie Hynde, above, is no longer hobbled by a knee injury, and is back out on the road with her band. The English rockers open for the reunited B-52’s tonight at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre and Tuesday and Wednesday at the Universal Amphitheatre.

JAZZ

Lexus Jazz at the Hollywood Bowl’s annual “A Night in Brazil” this Wednesday features a performance by songwriter Jorge Ben Jor. Also, there will be a tribute to the late Antonio Carlos Jobim organized by Oscar Castro-Neves and starring Flora Purim, Airto Moreira, Eliane Elias and Paul Winter.

The winning comedy, “The Wedding Singer,” is Adam Sandler’s watershed film. Sandler is utterly charming as a goofy, sweet wedding singer, circa 1985, who discovers that the love (Drew Barrymore) of his life is engaged to another man. The hit movie bounces into video stores on Tuesday.
