More Brainwashing?

Share

I was idly skimming the magazine Sunday when my eyes were arrested by the photograph on Page 20 (SoCal Fashion, June 28). A commemorative piece on the Bataan Death March? On concentration camp survivors? Heroin chic maybe? Ohmygawd, it’s a fashion picture.

My amusement turned to concern an hour later when I found my 13-year-old daughter studying the photo. At a slender 91 pounds, she’s already absorbing the diet brain-washing found in women’s magazines.

Please be a bit more aware of what you put out there for public consumption. Too many good women have lost their health and even their lives trying to live up to these skeletal images.
