Bruske Leaves Padres for Las Vegas

Jim Bruske (Antelope Valley College), who was traded from the Dodgers to the San Diego Padres late last month--marking the first trade between the division rivals since 1969--has been sent to triple-A Las Vegas.

Bruske gave up one hit in the final 1 2/3 innings of Las Vegas’ 8-2 victory over Salt Lake on Tuesday.

Gabe Kapler (Taft, Moorpark) scored three runs and hit two doubles in Jacksonville’s 16-0 victory over Orlando.

Class A--Pete Paciorek (Glendale College) had two hits, including his 26th double, for Rancho Cucamonga in an 8-0 victory over High Desert. . . . Will Skett (Reseda, Valley) had three hits and scored three runs in Dunedin’s 9-2 victory over Kissimmee. . . .
