* The Doubletree Hotel in Ventura announced it has strengthened its sales force.

The hotel recently hired Alan Tate as director of sales and marketing.

In addition, Elizabeth Davis and Tina Riley have been hired as sales managers. Davis will handle corporate accounts for the hotel, and Riley has been assigned to the religious markets in the Los Angeles area.

Robyn Goelze is the new revenue/reservations manager and will oversee the hotel’s systems and technological areas.

Robin Brooks has been hired as a catering/sales manager in charge of social accounts, such as weddings, proms and reunions.

Also, Ann Katz was named restaurant manager.

* Larry Winter of Westlake Village attended the Million Dollar Round Table annual meeting in Chicago. Winter, a 13-year member of the Million Dollar Round Table, was among an estimated 5,000 members, guests and speakers from more than 40 nations who attended the conference from June 28 to July 2.

The Million Dollar Round Table is an international, independent association of almost 19,000 sales professionals from the life-insurance-based financial services industry.

* Seaside Park announced the hiring of Edward Barlow of Norco to fill the new position of deputy general manager. For 27 years Barlow worked for Knott’s Berry Farm, where he served as operations manager and developed strategic and financial business plans. He will oversee management services and operations departments at Seaside Park, which runs the park, the Ventura County Fair and the Derby Club.
