Woman Bound, Unhurt in Robbery at Home
Two armed robbers burst into a house and tied up a 29-year-old woman Tuesday morning before running off with an undisclosed amount of money, according to authorities.
Neither the woman nor a small child in the house was harmed, said Det. Steven Ramirez of the LAPD Van Nuys Division.
The home-invasion robbery occurred at about 11 a.m. at a residence in the 8000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, authorities said.
The men--at least one of them armed with a semiautomatic firearm--broke into the house, covered the woman’s head and bound her hands, Ramirez said.
They ransacked the house and left with the money.
No shots were fired and the child was not bound or covered, investigators said.
The men were described as 18 to 20 years old. The incident was under investigation by robbery detectives.
