SACRAMENTO--The 145th California State Fair continues through Sept. 4 with more than 50 theme-park rides, gold panning, livestock exhibits, a petting farm, a replica of a Gold Rush-era town, horse racing, concerts by Metallica (Sept. 1), LeAnn Rimes and Bryan White (Sept. 4), and more. SAN FRANCISCO--One of the premier annual events in Scottsdale, Ariz.--the Celebration of Fine Art--is coming to San Francisco, Aug. 29-Nov. 1.
