Jackson Baby Dies After Early Birth
A baby boy born prematurely to Rep. Jesse L. Jackson Jr.’s wife died a short time after delivery. Sandi Jackson, 34, was admitted Thursday to the University of Utah hospital in Salt Lake City because of complications from her pregnancy. The baby was delivered Saturday, four months premature, and died a short time later, the hospital said. Sandi Jackson was reported to be in good condition. Jackson (D-Ill.) and his wife had been attending a youth leadership conference in the small town of Deer Valley, about 20 miles east of Salt Lake City.
