Javelin Systems Signs Deal With Aramark

Share

Javelin Systems Inc., the Irvine-based maker of touch-screen computer systems, said it has signed a $2.3-million contract with food giant Aramark Corp.

Under the deal, Javelin’s wholly owned subsidiary, CCI Group Inc., will conduct a year 2000 check and provide technical upgrades for the computers used in Aramark’s 70 sports and entertainment centers.

This is the latest of several deals that Javelin has signed in the last few months. In November, the company sealed a $5-million agreement to provide equipment to Chicago-based White Hen Pantry, a fast-food deli chain. A month earlier, the company announced an equipment-sales contract with Denver-based Quizno’s Corp., another chain of deli restaurants. Financial details of the Quizno’s deal were not disclosed.

Javelin also said Tuesday it has postponed its annual stockholders meeting one week to Dec. 18 because of delays in getting the annual reports from the printers.
