For the fifth year, the waters of Newport Bay will shine with the reflected glow of 17 Christmas trees, scattered about the bay and scheduled to be lighted at 6 p.m. Friday. The lighting ceremony at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina will also feature a performance by Kids Are Music, a visit by Santa Claus, seafood chowder and hot chocolate.
