Dell Computer Corp. and 3Com Corp. said they are developing modems to connect computers to high-speed Internet services delivered by cable and phone lines. The modems expected to be available next year, will be designed to work with @Home Corp.’s cable service and SBC Communications Inc.’s high-speed ADSL phone service.
