NEVADA CITY--Thousands of lights, horse-drawn wagon rides, strolling musicians and carolers will contribute to a “Victorian Christmas.” The historic district will close to traffic, and vendors in period costume will sell food and goods. EUREKA--Make way for the 10th annual Truckers Christmas Convoy, a lighted truck parade that begins at 6 p.m. next Saturday, Dec. 12. The convoy will include everything from 18-wheelers to pickup trucks. Redwood Acres Fairgrounds, Harris Street and Hubbard Lane. Free. (707) 442-5744.

SAN FRANCISCO--Set course for a Christmas at Sea in San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, next Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 12-13. Climb aboard a historic vessel for cider, cookies and caroling, along with a visit with Santa. 2-4:30 p.m. $4 adult admission to Hyde Street Pier, free 12 and under. COLTON--Virgil Earp (Wyatt’s dad) was sheriff of this town when it incorporated in 1887. Now it’s known for its Frontier Town attraction. Next Saturday, Dec. 12, Christmas in the Park there includes a parade at 10 a.m. and a street fair 10 a.m.-7 p.m., in and around Fleming Park, F Street and La Cadena Drive. Free. (909) 825-2222.

CALEXICO--At this border town’s Christmas Parade, starting at 10 a.m. next Saturday, Dec. 12, holiday floats, cheerleaders and musicians from both sides of the border will march down Second Street to Rockwood Plaza Park.
