Claiborne, McNown Honored Again

USC linebacker Chris Claiborne added another All-American honor to his growing list Wednesday when he made the American Football Coaches Assn. team.

UCLA’s Cade McNown was the coaches’ selection at quarterback.

Claiborne has been on each of the four major teams announced, leaving only two--the Associated Press and the Sporting News--before he becomes USC’s first unanimous All-American linebacker.

Jack Del Rio was the Trojans’ last consensus All-American linebacker before Claiborne, in 1984.
