VILLA PARK
A citizens committee committed to saving the historic Villa Park Elementary School buildings has received numerous donations in support of a restoration. The committee has contributions totaling $2,200.
Councilwoman Patricia L. Bortle gave the first $100, which triggered contributions from other council members and residents. “It is the last historical landmark left in Villa Park,” Bortle said, explaining her reason for wanting to save the 1920s-era buildings.
Donations: Make checks payable to Villa Park School Restoration Committee, c/o Villa Park City Hall, 17855 Santiago Blvd., Villa Park, CA 92861-4187.
