2 Teens Arrested on Suspicion of Murder
Two Anaheim teenagers were arrested Sunday on suspicion of murder in the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy, police said.
The 15-year-old teens, a boy and girl, were being held by juvenile authorities. Their identities were not released.
Police received a call around 2 a.m. that a person had been shot, said Sgt. Greg Palmer.
Officers arrived at the 100 block of Margate Drive, where they found the victim, Manuel Guardado, bleeding from a gunshot to the head.
He was taken to Western Medical Center-Anaheim, where he was pronounced dead at 2:30 a.m.
The two juveniles were first taken in for questioning and later arrested.
The investigation is continuing, Palmer said. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call (714) 765-1968.
