Army Cleaning Up Nerve Agent Spill

Share
From Times Wire Reports

The Army was cleaning up 140 gallons of the deadly nerve agent sarin that spilled at the Army’s high-tech chemical weapons incinerator near Tooele, Utah. The spill was confined to a containment area designed for such an accident. None of the chemical escaped into the atmosphere, authorities said, and no one was injured by the accident Sunday at the Tooele Chemical Disposal Facility. Officials said the spill occurred as the liquid was being poured into the incineration chamber.
