Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Body
Los Angeles police asked the public’s help Wednesday in identifying a shooting victim whose body was found along a freeway exit ramp.
Authorities described the victim as an African American man in his late 20s or early 30s, 5 feet 11, 245 pounds and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and new white Fila tennis shoes. The name “Adrian” is tattooed on one arm, said Det. Frank Bishop, a Los Angeles Police Department homicide detective.
The victim was spotted on the shoulder of the Devonshire Street offramp of the San Diego Freeway at 12:30 a.m. Monday by a passing motorist.
Bishop said the man was apparently shot elsewhere and dumped along the road late Sunday night or early Monday morning.
The body had several bullet wounds in the upper torso, Bishop said.
Although Los Angeles County coroner’s officials completed their autopsy Tuesday, neither police nor the coroner’s spokesman, Scott Carrier, would discuss their findings.
Police said they have not received any missing persons reports matching the victim’s description.
