Golleher Joins Koo Koo Roo’s Board

* George G. Golleher has joined the board of Koo Koo Roo Enterprises Inc. in Irvine, formerly known as Family Restaurants Inc. He is the seventh director for the company, which operates 300 restaurants. Golleher is president and chief operating officer of Fred Meyer Inc., a food and drug retailer.

* Larry McMannon has been appointed vice president and general manager for Seagate Technology Inc.’s Removable Storage Solutions group in Costa Mesa. McMannon filled the position on a temporary basis earlier this year, succeeding Brian Dexheimer, who was named senior vice president, product marketing and product line management for Seagate Desktop disc drives in Longmont, Colo. McMannon joined Seagate through the merger with Conner Peripherals in 1996 as vice president of finance for the tape drive division.

* Christine Garvey has joined the board of directors of Pacific Gulf Properties Inc. in Newport Beach. Garvey is president of Cadspec, a Novato, Calif.-based software company that specializes in the management of real estate portfolios. Previously, she was group executive vice president in charge of commercial real estate services for Bank of America in San Francisco.

* John William O’Brien has been appointed project director, development for Burke Real Estate Group. He is responsible for all day-to-day activities for the company’s industrial development projects in Los Angeles and Orange counties. O’Brien previously was director of asset management for Burke Asset Management Co., a subsidiary.

* Michael A. Piraino has been named president and chief operating officer for SM&A; Corp. in Newport Beach, effective Feb. 1, 1999. Ken Colbaugh, who previously served as chief operating officer, will have the new title of executive vice president of mergers and acquisitions. Piraino was previously executive vice president of corporate development at Data Processing Resources Corp. In addition, Thomas W. Haller will join the company Jan. 4 as senior vice president of human resources and operational support. He was formerly human resources director at GE Capital IT Solutions.

* Barry Shapiro has joined Integrated MarketingWorks in Irvine as senior art director. He was formerly freelance art director at Dailey & Associates in Los Angeles, senior art director at Foote, Cone & Belding/Los Angeles and creative director for Expressions Custom Furniture, a chain of retail home furnishing showrooms.

* James Hesburgh has joined the board of Alyn Corp. in Irvine. Hesburgh is president and chief executive of Battley USA Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of a French investment company, and is president and chief executive of James L. Hesburgh International Inc., an export management and international consulting firm.

* Paul W. Knutson has been named controller for First American Title Insurance Co. in Santa Ana. He joined the company in 1988 and was appointed vice president-assistant controller in 1993.

* Janet R. Lansing has joined Children’s Hospital of Orange County as director of marketing and public relations. She was formerly a group account director for DGWB Advertising in Irvine and before that, manager of corporate communications with Western Digital Corp. in Irvine. In addition, Pamela Bryant was named manager of community education. She had been with the pediatric home health division of Clinishare Home Health in Cerritos.

* Diane Uyematsu, Jon Burger and Ron Kent have been named partners of McGladrey & Pullen LLP, an accounting and consulting firm. All are in the Anaheim office.

* Daniel D. Rosenthal has been elected a director of the boards of both Downey Financial Corp. and Downey Savings and Loan Assn. in Newport Beach. Rosenthal was recently appointed president and chief executive of both companies.

* Annette Shehan has been appointed vice president of marketing for Del Taco Inc. in Laguna Hills. She joined the company from HomeBase Inc., where she had been manager of broadcast advertising for the past four years. Before that, Shehan held marketing and advertising positions at Jack in the Box Restaurants.

* Jim Meadows has been named chief operating officer of Advantage4 in Aliso Viejo. He had been a principal of Financial Strategies Group in San Francisco. In addition, Ron DeFelice, one of the founders of the company, who had been serving as chief operating officer, will become president and chief executive. Steve Delson, also a founding principal, who had been serving as chief executive, will become vice president of strategic planning. He will continue to focus on strategy development and implementation of programs within the development and home-building industry.
