Red Cross Offering First-Aid Courses
The Ventura County chapter of the American Red Cross will offer two types of first-aid courses in January, spokeswoman Sandy Marks said.
A standard first-aid course that includes CPR and is designed to meet OSHA workplace guidelines will be taught in one- and two-day classes at chapter offices on Portola Road in Ventura. The same class will be offered at a chapter office on Williams Street in Simi Valley.
Also, a nine-hour course on community first aid and safety--the Red Cross’ most comprehensive instruction for the public--will be held in one- and two-day sessions at both offices.
All classes will take place Jan. 5-27.
For more information, call the Ventura office at 339-2234 or the Simi Valley office at 582-8630.
