Karim Abdul-Jabbar rushed for 75 yards for Miami, while Buffalo was led in rushing by quarterback Rob Johnson, who rushed for 42 yards. The Bills had only 187 yards of total offense. In the other game, a 30-24 Buffalo victory, Doug Flutie, in his third game after replacing an injured Johnson at quarterback, passed for 206 yards and three touchdowns as the Bills rallied with 16 fourth-quarter points.
