Arkansas State Is Not Taken Lightly
The Trojans figure they have plenty to worry about against underdog Arkansas State in their final nonconference game at the Sports Arena tonight.
“It’s a team that makes you nervous,” Coach Henry Bibby said. “They’re super-quick and one of the toughest teams we have faced.”
The Indians have a number of veterans returning from a 20-9 squad that tied for the Sun Belt Conference championship last season. Chico Fletcher leads the team with 15.8 points and 8.4 assists a game.
After losing three of its first four games, Arkansas State (6-4) has been on a roll and has consecutive road victories over Oral Roberts and San Diego State. USC, meanwhile, returns from a week-long rest that included time off for Christmas.
